No garden, no more.

Well, since we missed our major planting days due to being sick, we've nixed the garden idea for this year and will try to resume next year. We did buy the stuff for an herb planter box for me (yay!) and Jason has decided to try growing his own chamomile for a beer idea he has.

So with the extra money.. we did some shopping! haha. Last week we bought some fun kitchen stuff, a digital scale, some creme brulee ramekins, a veggie slicer, some mixing bowls..fun. This week, we just had to get out of the house. Neither of us are very good and sitting around, doing nothing to rest., so we went to Target. I was looking for some stuff for our upcoming vacation, and didn't find what I was after, but we did end up finding a really cool Guinness T-shirt, that we both decided we had to have.

The best thing ever happened this week, magically, almost. About 2 weeks ago, Monsoon was seeming really agitated with her kennel (which she is only in while we're at work), and would scramble out of it when we got home from work. This was all very wierd because she'd never really cared before, so we decided that whenever we put her in it, we'd give her a training treat to see if it helped it all. So we did this for a couple weeks, giving her a snack in the morning and at dinner if she didn't let us eat in peace.Magically, one day, she was giving us a hard time at dinner and Jason said "Go in your cage Monsoon". Sort-of joking but, she just walked over and laid down in her kennel until we were done eating. WIERD. AWESOME. SWEET.

So she's been doing this all on her own for a few days now, and any time you say "cage" she walks right in and stays there. It's actually almost hard to talk her into coming out! So we've decided she may be ready for her next lesson - the doorbell! Oooh! Whenever our doorbell rings, she goes into a barking/growling frenzy and its so hard to quiet her down. This is annoying when she offends the friendly Hungry Howie's delivery boy and ESPECIALLY when she goes off on random doorbell ringers. Since we usually like to just pretend we're not home, she's losing our cool!
