Day 18

Day 18...was stressful! Jason finally picked up his mail from his mother's and we got some house stuff. Jason has to show all his bank account statements again and his 401K, we need to figure out how I get survivorship of the house since we're not married and how we are able to change the title when we're married, and we also got a letter from our new HOA. Our quarterly hoa fees are only about $210, which is not too bad. The bad news is we found out that the past homeowners or the bank, while it was in foreclosure, haven't been keeping up with community's standards and the property owes about $950, which I REALLY REALLY hope we don't have to pay. We also found out that theyre on top of all the weeds in the front yard and the missing tree. We were aware that in most HOA's you're required to have a tree in your front yard but we didn't know that they could specify what kind. We're required to have atleast a 15-gallon Elm tree. haha. I hope they can't fine us the first day after the house is ours for the yard, that seems unfair. So needless to say, we have a ton of stuff to clear up in the next day or so! Hopefully day 17 goes a little smoother!
