Saturday we took a long walk with Monsoon, braved costco (and spent $15 on tomatoes..), and started planning our garden. Yep! Jason and I have always dreamed of having a garden together so this is the year. Hopefully something we plants, lives. We've been cleaning up the backyard the last few weekends and just have some more ugly plants to dig up before we can put in pretty stuff and yummy veggies! At night I tried my hand at Aki's frozen strawberry margaritas (yes, it was 75ish this weekend) yum and we ended up watching this super long show on the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Which has led us to decide we must watch some old school gangster movies before our trip!
We'd been looking forward to the VNSA booksale for quite some time! It's a charity booksale, where the books are ridiculously cheap the first day and half off the second day! So, even though the second day fell on Valentine's, we went! Jason LOVINGLY bought me 26 books (maybe that is a gift for him as well... lots of quiet time for him, haha). Happy Vday to me! We had planned on getting some Chinese food for lunch at our favorite dive but they were closed! We "settled" for Rula Bula, the Irish pub I took Jason to for is bday awhile ago! It was so nice that day, so we took our pints outside. MMM! We were lazy the rest of the day but ended up getting hooked on re-runs of "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance"..which was AWESOME. We caught the last 5 episodes of that season but it was hilarious.
