Hiking

Since the weather is finally GORGEOUS outside, we decided to take advantage of it and head to the local trails by us. I took Jason hiking once [his first time] for his 31st birthday this last January and we both had a good time. We were both really excited to take Monsoon along with us this time. The views were so different every couple yards! There were about 8 different trails at the park [only 15-20 minutes away!] and the one we did was easy peasy and took about 1.5 hours. Monsoon loved all the smells but did just awful meeting the other hikers. Sigh. She really needs another obedience class!

After the hiking, I got to work on a Christmas present that I finished today. Yay! Our goal is to have all of our gifts bought by the first of December, and mailed much earlier this year! Last year we spent the entire month shopping and had no time for decorating, baking, and christmas lights! We've got about 3.5 done so far...Go us!

Saturday night we went with my parents to see Frank Caliendo at the Dodge Theatre. He was so so so good! Probably the best part was all of his slamming of Brett Favre and John Madden but you have to love his charles barkley and surprise! he even did Adam Sandler. Hilarious! I totally recommend seeing him if you have the chance!

Today we spent our gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond from Jason's mom and we got new bath towels! We love them! Once it is cleaned, I will post pictures of our bathroom, it's pretty much done other than when we want to totally redo it.. haha.

Jason started his Hefeweizen a few weeks ago and today he started his porter! We can't wait! He found a copy-cat recipe of the Black Butte that we stumbled upon at Bevmo last year. It's my all time favorite beer and we haven't come across someone who doesn't like it yet.
