Monsoon Season

Well Monsoon was appropriately named, the monsoons have started arriving. We're a little disappointed, we heard a lot of weather talk that this year's storms would be much better than last year's and so far, not so much. It's only rained once, just a lot of dust. Apparently the little bit on wind we've had was enough to take down our tree out front! We are now completely tree-less and just waiting for the HOA to notice. We're supposed to have an elm tree, I think, and Jason took that one down on Thursday because it was completely dead, just held in place by supports. Then our other tree came down Friday night, like our neighbor promised it did every year. We didn't believe her because it was kind of ugly and thought she just didn't like it but turns out she was trying to do us a favor. It turned out okay, I suppose, Jason was able to rent a chainsaw from Home Depot and had a good time sawing it down. It's lightning right now so here's hoping for a better storm!
