Garage Sale

This last weekend we participated in our neighborhood's community garage sale. Turn out was slightly under fair, so we only pulled in $104, but have a lot of stuff left! Next weekend, we are going to hold a second sale at my parent's house. This is all going to our Lake Havasu/Disneyland trip over New Year's weekend so we're hoping to make atleast another $100!! Our house is cleaner, we scooped up some freebies from my parents' lot of stuff and made some cash! The hardest part was not wandering over to the neighbor's to see what they were selling.

Thursday and Friday night were devoted to pricing things and getting set up, Saturday morning we got up super early to put the stuff out. We had the sale, and then a quick nap (thanks to a dog that NEVER. slows. down.) and then got ready for some dinner with my parents at Charleston's. YUM! It's a chain, but I don't know how far it spreads - but if you have one, go! So yummy!

The weather is finally cooling down, slowlllllyyyy. I can't wait for firepits! We had firepits all winter long last year and never once made smores -- That has to be some kind of crime. I can't wait to cook up some homemade kettle corn and chex mix and drink Jason's glugg! He's working on a pumpkin beer right now that should be ready just in time, does this guy know my heart or what?!?
