Jason always takes us on an adventure for my bday - an excellent reason for a summer trip & it happens every year! How about that! This year Jason took us to Talking Stick Resort.
We took our time getting up to Scottsdale - we stopped at Papago Brewing Co on the way! We shared pulled pork sliders & beer bites and downed some specialty porters - I had the coconut coffee milk stout & J had the irish coffee milk stout. DELISH!
While we were snacking, a storm was rolling in. Once we were checked in to our room - we looked out the giant windows and saw this bad boy rolling in
But look at that pool - we hurried down there to get a swim in before it hit!
Then we took our sweet time getting ready to go down to the casino. Bday Guinness & Fargo on TV - what a combo!
Right before we headed out, Jason noticed his name on the phone
We gambled - donated our money more like! Then we headed down to check out the piano bar. It was pretty cool but definitely not as great as the one in Paris hotel, LV
Next day we slept in (no dog to wake us up!), grabbed some coffee and pastries from the coffee shop & headed to the pool
We asked for a late check out - ask and you shall receive - we didn't have to check out until 2pm, woohoo!
Later in the evening we got a nice monsoon, check out all that water!
When youre a little kid, you get cake and punch - but when you're 24 you get beer & cannolli. We stopped at Defalco's on the way home to pick up some italian goodies and we bought the drinks from Papago Brewing Co. (they have some large cases of to go specialty items)
Sunburned for sure!!
